ORENAIR fleet has been enriched with new Boeing 737-800

On December 26, 2013 the staff of JSC «Orenburg airlines» at the international airport «Orenburg» named after Yu. A. Gagarin met Boeing 737-800 which has enriched airline fleet and became the 19-th liner Boeing 737-800 in the ORENAIR fleet!

Renewal of aircraft fleet (replacement by younger aircrafts) is one of the areas of Airline activity on flight safety benefits. In December 2013 two aircrafts 737-800 2001 YOM were taken out of service and given back to the lessor – ILFC Company. Replacing these aircrafts the airline ORENAIR gets two liners 737-800 2006 YOM – delivery of the second aircraft is expected at the beginning of 2014.

The lessor is a subsidiary company of Russian JSC «Governmental Transport Leasing Company» - GTLK Europe Ltd.

The aircraft which was leased by the airline is distinguished by its special comfort with 186 passenger seats of economy class. The interior has been completely equipped according to modern technologies – new convenient passenger leather seats, modernized catering equipment which will allow high level of service for airline passengers. The liner will carry out its first flight already on December 27, 2013 en-route Orenburg-St.Petersburg-Orenburg.

Today ORENAIR fleet has 23 aircrafts including 2 Boeing 737-400, 19 Boeing 737-800 and 3 Boeing 777-200ER. According to the strategy of ORENAIR development it is planned to lease five aircrafts Boeing 737 in 2014 therefore by the end of 2014 the airline fleet will include 27 of average and long haul units.
NOTE: Among domestic airlines JSC «Orenburg Airlines» takes the 8th place as per amount of transported passengers and the 7th place as per passenger turnover. On November 30, 2013 the airline ORENAIR transported 2 949 318 passengers and carried out 19 029 flights.
