29.10.12   ORENAIR celebrates 20 years of flying from Germany to Russia

Twenty years ago, in 1993 air company ORENAIR started to perform flights from Germany to Russia. The first charter flight to Germany “Omsk-Hannover” was launched in May 1993. Over the 1993 to 2007 period charters were operated from Russia to Cologne, Nuremberg, Frankfurt and Stuttgart. From May, 2008 ORENAIR starts to perform regular flights to Germany. Every year the company does its best to expand the program of flights, improve the level of service and increase the number of passengers. During the past 19 years ORENAIR performed 1220 flights and carried 282 thousand passengers.

Every year the company operates flights from Düsseldorf to Omsk, Barnaul, Novosibirsk, Chelyabinsk, Orenburg as well as flights from Hannover airport to Omsk. This year a new route “Düsseldorf – Krasnodar” will be included in the flight schedule. A new route from Munich will be launched for spring and summer period. Flights from Munich to Omsk and Rostov-on-Don may be operated as early as mid-May. The tickets will be on sale in the very near future.

2013 was announced to be Germany year in Russia. The joint motto of the Germany Year in Russia is “Russia and Germany – shaping the future together”. The projects are meant to strengthen the strategic partnership and the cooperation between the countries in the areas of politics, economics, society and culture. Both parties intend thereby to strengthen their existing cooperation and initiate the new one, open new routes between cities of Russia and Germany. Regular air service contributes perfectly to wider cooperation between two countries.
